Hey there, I'm Richie Harmey, a filmmaker from Launceston, Tasmania. I've been filming weddings in Tasmania since 2015 and have been honoured to capture the special moments of hundreds of lovely couples on their big day. My filmmaking style is artistic, cinematic, and beautiful, inspired by the magic of cinema and fuelled by all the great creatives I get to work alongside.

As a filmmaker, my goal is to tell stories about love, friendship, and personal character in a unique and timeless style. My approach on the day is to minimise my impact and be as unobtrusive as possible. I am always looking for my next shot, who’s having the best time, where the action is, what the sun is doing, always looking for the magic.

In the editing process, my goal is to create a final product that is polished and timeless. I try to steer clear of flashy effects or editing techniques that can be overwhelming or will quickly look outdated. I focus on the quality of storytelling rather than the quantity of footage, and I keep the final cut authentic to the events of the day.
